On Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011 we had the second ever snow induced snow day that the Family Foundation School has ever seen. As you could imagine spirits were high and excitement buzzed through the air like a swarm of bee’s. With all of the snow on the ground and no school to worry about we thought what better time for a snow burial. We headed into the woods with snow shovels buckets and a backpack full of snacks to built a multi-man (or woman) fort. the result was a almost comfortable easily accessible snow fort with everything but a big screen TV and a lazy boy chair. all in all there was lots of fun being had and we could think of no better way to have spent and 2nd ever SNOW DAY!!!

The New Dorm
We have finally moved into THE DOG DORM. The dorm is filled with twelve of the boys that are in the Dog Corps .The plan is to move four dogs (two for each side of the dorm) into the dorm to spend time with the kids. Spending time with a dog is a very important part of building a strong and lasting relationship. So by having the kids live with the dogs it tremendously aids and strengthens the bonding process. Taking care of a dog is a big responsibility and will require the students to wake up early to take care of the dogs as well as see to all of there needs. We will be taking dogs from our friend Jenn’s animal rescue and work to help these dogs be well behaved and mannered so that they will be more easly adopted. We are all looking forward to adding four more dogs to our family and can’t wait for all of the fun to start.
